Welcome
Hello and Welcome to “Retired at 47″. So you’re wondering if I actually retired at 47? Yes and no (but mostly yes). I did in fact escape my corporate job after 25 years in that environment. That was almost a year ago, and I gave myself some time to figure out what I wanted to do next. I now have a small, part-time business that is still evolving. But the change did not happen overnight - it was something I planned for and worked towards for almost 15 years.
This blog is my space where I can hopefully share with you some of what I did right, some of what I did wrong, and thoughts for the future. I love to share ideas and resources, so please jump right in and ask questions, make suggestions, or just hang out.

Just want to say thank you so much for featuring The Smarter Wallet on your roundup! It is a very new site just like yours, so I’m always happy to get to know those folks behind the newer blogs!
Best wishes,
SVB
